I Made a Sega Remix Project!

Posted by Jii Kae on

I released the Sega Plus Jiikae: Remix Collection this week. A project where I reimagined songs from some of my favorite game soundtracks of Sega IP. This project really gave me an opportunity to explore different genres that I’m interested in and to exercise my range. Also, while the songs may sound different, I wanted them to still sound like they’d fit in each game’s original OST. Listen and enjoy! Sega Plus Jiikae: Remix Collection by Jiikae

My new EP /Frontier Syndrome/ has released

I've released my second EP finally. Been working on this for about 4 months and I'm happy with how it turned out. The goal for this project was to create songs that have more phases and movements. I also wanted to be more diverse in terms of genre. So it came out as a melting pot of jazz, breakbeat, drum and bass and ambient. I enjoyed making it and it's available now on Bandcamp and all other streaming services!

I have been experimenting with remixes again. Been wanting to re-imagine some of my favorite songs in a way that is somewhat faithful but still adds something significant. For this one, it was only right that I start off with Shoji Meguro's 'Heartbeat, Heartbreak' from Persona 4. Especially with Meguro being my favorite game composer. I laid down the chords, some breakbeats, some gospel elements and came out with this. Enjoy! Heartbeat, Heartbreak (Remix) by Jiikae

Happy New Year

Posted by Jii Kae on

I have been contemplating all year about how I can be more clear about everything I create. And I've settled on doing blogs to help communicate what I have going on. So whenever I have anything notable to share about my releases or my work, you will see it here and social media. Looking forward to finally revealing what I have in store next. More music and more console/tech mods on the way! And thank you for all the support :)
